Sharon Yvonne Stone is the only child born to Dorothy Lawson (an accountant) and Joseph William Stone II, who was a manufacturer of tool and dies, as well as a former employee of a plant. Her birth date was 10 March 1958in Meadville Pennsylvania. She has three siblings: Michael, Kelly, and Patrick. Stone, who was gifted in school as an infant, started her second-grade education at age five. Saegertown Senior High School, Saegertown Pennsylvania was the place where she earned her diploma in 1975. The Miss Pennsylvania beauty competition saw her win Miss Crawford County. Stone and her aunt moved out of New Jersey to New Jersey to begin a modeling career in 1977. The two signed on with an agency called the Ford Modeling Agency after a short period of time. Stone, disillusioned at the fashion industry that was thriving in Europe took up acting in Europe. Stone was in Woody Allen's film "Stardust Memories" at the age of 20.
