Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue E. Taylor, an American producer and actor, has been known for her roles in the feature film Ray Undercover Brother as well as in The Mentalist. She earned an B.A. in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting at Tisch School at New York University. Aunjanue has a reputation as an American actor also known as producer and director. She is employed in film and television. She began her acting career in theater and later appeared in several shows on television as well as independent and mainstream films. She was known for appearing as Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) as well as in BET's massive The Book of Negroes. Both series received major praise from critics, and she also took home a variety of prizes. Her debut on stage as Ariel, on the stage in The Tempest. On Broadway, she has appeared on stage in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. She is most well-known for her roles in the films Men of Honor, The Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. In her television work, she has been praised for her part in the role of a character who is a regular on ABC's police drama High Incident.
