Awkwafina is an American actor and musician. She started by releasing humorous, cleverly written music that tackled questions of racial identity and sexuality. Then she expanded her fans to Hollywood. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants was her very first music experience. She played the trumpet. Apart from classical music and jazz, Nora Lum began studying hip-hop in her teens.
